Two squads sitting in and out of the playoff places of the West are clashing tonight, when the last Phoenix Suns (11-43), who are struggling having won only once in their last twelve games, are hosting the Houston Rockets (30-22), who are looking to turn their latest victory into a streak.

Date/Time: 02-04-2019, 21:00 EDT

Spread: Phoenix Suns +8

Total: +229.5

Phoenix Suns have a 11-43 record (23-31 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the last place of the West. They have lost 11 of their last 12 matches and in their last game they lost at home against the Hawks with a 112-118 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Devin Booker with 25 ppg, adding 3.7 boards and a team high 6.8 dimes per game. He is followed by TJ Warren with 18 ppg and 4 boards per game but he is out with an injury.

Houston Rockets have a 30-22 record (24-27-1 against the spread) so far this season and sit in the 6th place of the West. In their last game they snapped a two-game losing streak by winning on the road against the Jazz with a 125-98 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by James Harden with 36.3 ppg, adding 6.8 boards and a team high 8.1 dimes per game. He is followed by Clint Capela with 17.6 ppg and a team high 12.6 boards per game but he is out with an injury.

Rockets won all four meetings against the Suns last season, winning on the road by an average of 21.5 points. Suns have a 7-20 home record, while the Rockets are 11-14 on the road. Rockets are better both offensively, scoring 112.7 ppg to Suns’ 106.2 and defensively, allowing 111.1 ppg to Suns’ 115.7. Suns have a better field goal percentage (45.8% to 44.6%), while Rockets have a better 3-point percentage (34.6% to 33.4%). Rockets are better both in boards grabbed (41.8 to 39.9) and in turnovers committed (13.3 to 15.4), while Suns are better in dimes made (23.8 to 20.7). Rockets are the absolute favorite and Vegas odds give them a -8 spread and expect them to beat the odds against an inferior Suns team.
