Ready for a chuckle? The Chicago Bulls have lost nine of their last ten games and have a winning percentage of .339 this season. They are still within reach of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. It’s a pipedream, but it’s still possible. If Chicago has any hopes of making a run, it needs to start this weekend in Madison Square Garden. Saturday night’s Knicks vs. Bulls preview, courtesy of The Gold Sheet:
Date/Time: 02-29-2020, 17:00 EDT
Opening Spread: New York Knicks -3
Chicago has let go of the rope a bit, losing nine of its last ten games straight-up and is just 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 games. The Bulls have some weapons, namely Zach LaVine (26 points per game on the season while shooting 47-percent over his last 11 games) and rookie G Coby White (15 points per game over his last 15). But with PF Lauri Markkanen & G Kris Dunn out indefinitely and C Wendell Carter and F Otto Porter limping, head coach Jim Boylen’s club is hurting. Hungry New York has lost six-straight, and hard-working PF Julius Randle has scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds per game over his last five contests. The home team won and covered each of first two meetings this season, so that’s the direction we’re leaning.
New York Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls Pick: New York 111 – Chicago 106
