Two teams sitting on the lower places of the Eastern Conference table are clashing today, when the fourth-worse Atlanta Hawks (19-38), looking to turn their latest victory into a streak, are hosting the team with the worse record in the whole league, the New York Knicks (10-47), who have won only once in their last twenty-seven games.

Date/Time: 02-14-2019, 19:30 EDT

Spread: Atlanta Hawks -7

Total: +224.5

Atlanta Hawks have an 19-38 record (25-32 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the 12th place of the East. In their last game they snapped a three-game losing streak by winning at home against the Lakers with a 117-113 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by John Collins with 19.4 ppg, adding a team high 9.7 boards per game. He is followed by Trae Young with 16.9 ppg and a team high 7.6 dimes per game.

New York Knicks have a 10-47 record (23-33-1 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the last place of the whole league. They have lost 26 of their last 27 matches and in their last game they lost at home against the Sixers with a 111-126 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Dennis Smith Jr with 16.7 ppg, adding and a team high 5.8 dimes per game. He is followed by Emmanuel Mudiay with 14.7 ppg and 3.9 dimes per game but he is out with an injury.

This will be the third meeting between those two teams so far this season with the Knicks leading 2-1 wins, having won the previous game in Atlanta with a 107-112 score. Hawks have a 9-16 home record, while the Knicks are 6-23 on the road. Hawks are better offensively, scoring 111 ppg to Knicks’ 105.3, while Knicks are better defensively, allowing 114.4 ppg to Hawks’ 118.4 ppg. Hawks have better percentages both in field goals (45.4% to 43%) and in 3-pointers (34.7% to 33.5%). They are also better in boards grabbed (45 to 44.2) and in dimes made (25.6 to 19.9), while Knicks are better in turnovers committed (13.1 to 17.9). Hawks are the favorite at home and Vegas odds give them a -7 spread and expect them to beat the odds for an easy win today.
