Two of the worse teams both of each conference and of the whole league are clashing today, when the New York Knicks (10-41), in the aftermath of the Kristaps Porzingis trade are looking to end their current huge losing streak while hosting the Memphis Grizzlies (20-33), who have won only once in their last twelve games.

Date/Time: 02-03-2019, 13:00 EDT

Spread: New York Knicks +2.5

Total: +203.5

New York Knicks have a 10-41 record (22-28-1 against the spread) so far this season and re currently tied with the Cavaliers in the last place of the East. They have lost 20 of their last 21 matches and in their last game they lost at home against the Celtics with a 99-113 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Emmanuel Mudiay with 14.7 ppg and 3.9 dimes per game but he is out with an injury. He is followed by Enes Kanter with 14 ppg and a team high 10.5 boards per game.

Memphis Grizzlies have a 20-33 record (22-31 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the second to last place of the West. They have lost 11 of their last 12 matches and in their last game they lost on the road against the Hornets with a 92-100 score in overtime, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Mike Conley with 20.2 ppg, adding a team high 6.3 dimes per game. He is followed by Marc Gasol with 15.6 ppg, 4.7 dimes and a team high 8.6 boards per game.

Knicks have won the previous meeting against the Grizzlies earlier this season by 5 points on the road. Knicks have a 4-19 home record, while the Grizzlies are 8-19 on the road. Knicks are better offensively, scoring 106.1 ppg to Grizzlies’ 100.4, while Grizzlies are better defensively, allowing 103.7 ppg to Knicks’ 115. Grizzlies have a better field goal percentage (45.1% to 43.1%) and both teams have identical 3-point percentage (33.8%) and commit almost the same number of turnovers (12.8 to 14.4). Grizzlies are better in dimes made (23.5 to 19.7), while Knicks are better in boards grabbed (44 to 40.2). It is going to be a close game between two of the worse teams in the league and Vegas odds give the Grizzlies a -2.5 spread but don’t expect them to beat the odds and pick the Knicks for the home win.

Memphis Grizzlies vs New York Knicks Prediction: New York Knicks +2.5 (-109)
