Two squads with completely different goals for the season face off today, when the rebuilding and injury plagued Golden State Warriors (14-49), who saw Steph Curry return and want to bounce back after their latest defeat, are hosting the playoff-bound Philadelphia 76ers (38-25), who on the other hand want to continue on the winning ways.

Golden State Warriors have a 14-49 record (30-33 against the spread) and are sitting in the last place of the West. They have lost two of their last three matches and in their last game they lost at home against the Raptors with a 113-121 score, beating the odds. Andrew Wiggins leads the team in scoring with 22 ppg, adding 5.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Steph Curry follows with 20.8 ppg, 5.2 rebounds and a team high 6.6 assists per game.

Philadelphia 76ers have a 38-25 record (27-32-4 against the spread) and are sitting in the 6th place of the East. In their last game they snapped a two-game losing streak by winning on the road against the Kings with a 125-108 score, beating the odds. Joel Embiid leads the team both in scoring with 23.3 ppg and in rebounding with 11.8 per game but he is out with an injury. Tobias Harris follows with 19.4 ppg and 6.8 rebounds per game.
In their previous meeting earlier this season the Sixers won at home with a 115-104 score. Warriors are 7-25 home, while the Sixers are 10-23 on the road. Sixers are better both offensively, scoring 109.3 ppg to Warriors’ 106.1 and defensively, allowing 107.2 ppg to Warriors’ 114.8. They also have better percentages both in field goals (46.4% to 43.6%) and in 3-pointers (36% to 33.4%). Sixers are also in rebounding (45.5 to 43.1), in turnovers committed (14.3 to 15.1) and in assists made (25.8 to 25.5). Bookmakers give the Sixers a -1.5 spread but don’t expect them to beat the odds as they are missing key players.
