Game Preview

The Trail Blazers enter tonight’s game fresh off of a 123-110 road victory over the Cleveland
Cavaliers on Monday. That was the team’s fourth victory in a row, with all of them coming by
double digits. Portland is 37-23 (34-26 ATS) on the season and currently in 4th place in the Western
Conference, six-games behind the 1st place Golden State Warriors.

The Celtics return home after an abysmal road trip which saw them drop three straight. They were in
Toronto last night to face off with the Raptors, falling by 23 points. Boston is in 5th place in the
Eastern Conference with a mark of 37-24 (30-30-1 ATS), 9.5 games behind the conference leading
Milwaukee Bucks.

Portland Trail Blazers

Portland’s last three victories have all come on the road. For the year, the team is 13-15 (13-15 ATS)
in away games. Overall recent play has been strong, as the Trail Blazers are 7-3 (7-3 ATS) for their
last 10 contests, a span which includes a 22-point home victory over the Warriors.

Team totals are 30-28-1 on the season with the Over coming in for three of the last four. Damian
Lillard leads the way in scoring with averages of 25.8 ppg and 6.5 apg. CJ McCollum is next up with
22.1 ppg, while Jusuf Nurkic contributes 15.4 ppg and 10.2 boards.

Boston Celtics

Perhaps a return home will provide a spark for the Celtics. The team has lost its last two contests by
double digits. Over the last 10, the team is just 5-5 (5-5 ATS). Boston has done a good job defending
the home court this season with a record of 23-8 (19-12 ATS) thus far.

Team totals have been Under for three of the last five and check in at 35-26 season to date. Kyrie
Irving is the top threat for the Celtics. He’s averaging 23.5 ppg and 6.9 dimes. Jayson Tatum adds in
16.3 ppg and 6.3 boards, while Al Horford contributes 12.9 ppg and 6.8 rpg.

Trail Blazers vs. Celtics Prediction

These two clubs hooked up in November at Portland. The Trail Blazers walked away with a 100-94
victory in a game for which they were 2-point favorites. The teams are 5-5 for the last 10 meetings
with totals also checking in at 5-5 over that span.

The Celtics are slight home favorites tonight. They desperately need the win to stop the bleeding and
avoid falling further back in the east playoff race. We’ll take the hosts to win and cover.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Boston Celtics Pick: Boston Celtics -2.5 (-110)
