Two teams coming off multiple wins are clashing in game 1 of this Western Conference quarterfinal, when the third-seeded Portland Trail Blazers (53-29), are hosting the sixth-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder (49-33), with both teams having won their last three and five games respectively and looking to extend those winning streaks today.

Date/Time: 04-14-2019, 15:30 EDT

Spread: Portland Trail Blazers -3

Total: +228.5

Portland Trail Blazers finished the regular season with a 53-29 record (45-36-1 against the spread) and were placed third in the West. They have won five of their last six matches and in their last game they won at home against the Kings with a 136-131 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Damian Lillard with 25.8 ppg, adding 4.6 boards and a team high 6.9 dimes per game. He is followed by CJ McCollum with 21 ppg and 4 boards per game.

Oklahoma City Thunder finished the regular season with a 49-33 record (42-40 against the spread) and were placed sixth in the West. They have five consecutive wins and in their last game they won on the road against the Bucks with a 127-116 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Paul George with 28 ppg, adding 8.2 boards and 4.1 dimes per game. He is followed by Russell Westbrook with 22.9 ppg, adding team highs both in boards grabbed with 11.1 and in dimes made with 10.7 per game.

In their four previous meetings in the regular season the Thunder lead the Blazers 4-0 wins, having won both road games by an average of 5 points. Blazers have a 32-9 home record, while the Thunder are 22-19 on the road. Both teams are almost equal offensively, scoring 114.7 and 114.5 ppg, while Blazers are better defensively, allowing 110.5 ppg to Thunder’s 111.1. Blazers have better percentages both in field goals (46.7% to 45.4%) and in 3-pointers (35.9% to 34.8%). Both teams are very close in boards grabbed (48.1 to 48), in dimes made (23.4 to 23) and in turnovers committed (13.3 to 13.6). It is going to be a close game and while Vegas odds give the Blazers a -3 spread, don’t expect them to beat the odds and pick the Thunder for the win today.
