Two teams sitting on opposite sides of the Western Conference table are clashing today, when the second-worse Memphis Grizzlies (29-44), who have won only once in their last 5 games, are hosting the fifth Oklahoma City Thunder (43-30), who on the other hand ended a losing streak and want to continue on the winning ways.
Date/Time: 03-25-2019, 20:00 EDT
Spread: Memphis Grizzlies +6
Memphis Grizzlies have a 29-44 record (34-39 against the spread) so far this season and are currently tied with the Mavericks in the second to last place of the West. They have lost four of their last five matches and in their last game they lost on at home against the Timberwolves with a 99-112 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Mike Conley with 20.9 ppg, adding a team high 6.4 dimes per game. He is followed by Jonas Valanciunas with 19.4 ppg and a team high 9.9 boards per game.
Oklahoma City Thunder have a 43-30 record (37-36 against the spread) so far this season and are currently tied with two more teams in the 5th place of the West. In their last game they snapped a four-game losing streak by winning on the road against the Raptors with a 116-109 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Paul George with 28.2 ppg, adding 8.1 boards and 4.2 dimes per game. He is followed by Russell Westbrook with 23.1 ppg, adding team highs both in boards grabbed with 11.1 and in dimes made with 10.4 per game.
Thunder have won both previous meetings against the Grizzlies this season, both at home and by an average of 13 points. Grizzlies have a 19-18 home record, while the Thunder are 20-18 on the road. Thunder are better offensively, scoring 114.5 ppg to Grizzlies’ 102.6, while Grizzlies are better defensively, allowing 105.2 ppg to Thunder’s 111.1 ppg. Thunder have better percentages both in field goals (45.4% to 45.1%) and in 3-pointers (34.7% to 33.9%). Grizzlies on the other hand are better both in dimes made (23.8 to 23.1) and in turnovers committed (13.3 to 13.9), while Thunder are better in boards grabbed (48.1 to 41.3). Thunder are the absolute favorite and Vegas odds give them a -6 spread and expect them to beat the odds for the road win.
