Toronto Raptors at Phoenix Suns preview & Prediction

There are games on the NBA schedule, every single night of the week, that look to be a sure bet. You very often get teams who are sitting at or near the top of their conference going against teams that are wallowing in the murky depths at the bottom. You expect this to be a straight up win for the better team, but you also know that the odds are not going to give you very much of a return of you just stick to the SU wager. This is where you need to dog a little deeper to fond just how often each team covers the spread in certain situations, as that is where you can maximize your profits. We have one of those games set to go on Tuesday night, with the Toronto Raptors heading out West to face the Phoenix Suns. While this should amount to little more than a practice game for the defending champions, they are not in a great run of form at the moment. The bigger question is whether they can over as a 4 ½ point favorite. The point total for this one is set at 225 ½.

Why bet on the Toronto Raptors

It has been clear for a while that the Milwaukee Bucks are going to win the Eastern Conference, which should not really come as much of a surprise to anyone. It was looking for a while as though the Raptors were going to lock into that #2 spot, but things are tightening up again with the Raptors now on a 3-game losing skid coming into this one. That has taken the Raptors to 6-4 in their last 10 games, which means that they are now 9 ½ games back of the Bucks for the lead and just a ½ game up on the Boston Celtics in 3rd. Toronto is 19-9 SU in road games this season, as well as going 14-14 ATS in those games. They had a comfortable 118-101 win over the Suns in their previous meeting this season on home court.

Why bet on the Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns are wallowing down near the bottom of the Western Conference with a 24-37 record on the season. They simply have not been any sort of factor in the playoff race this year and are now essentially playing out the string and waiting for this season to come to an end. They, like the Raptors, are coming into this one on a 3-game losing skid that has seen them fall to 4-6 in their last 10 games. Home court advantage has meant very little to them, as they are just 11-21 in their own building this year, whilst also failing to cover the spread in each of their last 5 at home. The Suns are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games overall.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

This poor run of form that the Raptors are on is simply not going to last, and I believe that it will come to an end on Tuesday night. I am on Toronto to win and cover rather comfortably.
