Odds to Win 2019 NFL Divisions
With the National Football League offseason unofficially officially over the SuperBook of Las Vegas has opened NFL Futures on professional football divisions. And in what shouldn’t be a surprise with the signings and trades the Cleveland Browns (7-5) check in as the favorites to win the American Football Conference North.
Flashback to the holiday season in the final regular season game of the 2018 season and the Browns were 7-7-1. Their Week 17 contest against the Baltimore Ravens offered the coaching staff, players and franchise a chance to secure a winning record for the first time in 11 years.
A Dawg Pound victory over Baltimore would have been the team’s eighth of the season. As a result a 8-7-1 overall campaign.
Browns general manager John Dorsey kicked the free-agent and trade portion of the 2019 ball through the uprights this past week. His first trade-deadline acquisition was the buzz of Twitter. Dorsey has been the face of the team’s offseason and with a cooler filled with draft picks and a helmet full of cash the franchise is in position to have their first winning season in over a decade.
The Browns GM engineered a blockbuster trade with the Giants to land Odell Beckham, Jr. and Olivier Vernon. The front office added Sheldon Richardson to bolster the defensive line. And it is safe to state that Dorsey and the Browns aren’t done yet.
