Westgate Odds to Win 2019 NFL Divisions
No team in the National Football League has more 2019 first round draft picks than the Oakland Raiders. And by all measures they will need to get production from their rookies if they plan on competing in the American Football Conference West Division.
Jon Gruden and the 2018 Oakland Raiders took part in one of the most difficult strength of schedules. This year’s campaign doesn’t get much easier, in terms of win and loss percentages of teams Oakland is scheduled to face, in 2019.
Gruden and the Oakland front office have three first round picks in this April’s draft. And when the 2019 regular season is over the Raiders will have played seven games against teams that qualified for the playoffs last year. These seven contests include the Kansas City Chiefs (twice), Los Angeles Chargers (twice) Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears.
Three (Kansas City, Los Angeles and Chicago) of the seven games that Oakland face against 2018 postseason qualifiers are home games. The problem is that Gruden and his players currently don’t have a home. The team’s lease at the Oakland Coliseum expired last season and before calling Las Vegas home sweet home in 2020 the club has to find a field to play on for the 2019 season.
