2019 NFL No. 1 Draft Pick Odds
Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray continues to catch National Football League futures money. His stock to rising with less than two months before draft day. The Oklahoma Pro Day workouts found 31 of the 32 NFL front offices in attendance. Murray wasn’t timed in the 40-yard dash nor did the quarterback take part in the agility drills. 2019 NFL No. 1 Draft Pick Odds: Murray 4-9.
The Las Vegas SuperBook, Westgate, opened their NFL Future odds on the 2019 National Football League overall No. 1 draft pick. And the world’s largest book did so positioning Murray at 5-7 odds. For the most part every NFL major media Big Board the past month listed Ohio State’s linebacker Nick Bosa (Opened at 5-4 odds) as the top selection in the upcoming draft. In short those watching this year’s draft on the NFL Network expected to hear commissioner Roger Goodell or a special guest announce that the “Arizona Cardinals have selected Nick Bosa as the overall No. 1 pick”. Bosa checks in at 8-5 odds moving from the Westgate favorite to the second choice behind Murray.
I stated that 31 of the 32 NFL teams were in attendance for the OU pro-day. In truth all 32 NFL franchises had representative. However neither Cardinals general manager Steve Keim nor new coach Kliff Kingsbury made the trip to Norman.
If Keim and Kingsbury are indeed ready-set-go to select Murray as the overall No. 1 in May then one should expect a private workout between now and the end of April.
Murray stood on his combine measurement of 5-foot-10; he weighed 205 pounds, which was two pounds lighter than his combine weight. And with only a pair of months before the 2019 NFL Draft the Heisman award winner is poised to not just make the move from Major League Baseball to the NFL but get paid handsomely for his offseason gamble.
