Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview November 1

Eagles vs. Cowboys Prediction and Picks

With the United States Presidential election one week away, I find it only fitting to request an extra line-item for voting. How the Dallas Cowboys have played this season is not demonstrative of a team worthy of being coined America’s team. So, let us “Make America’s Team Great Again” is the campaign slogan, and maybe we can all work together to turn this narrative into a reality drama similar to Selling Sunsets.

This Week’s Best Bet

John Ryan has a 4% Dog targeted for the Saturday Big Ten card. His comprehensive research provides you with fundamental matchup analysis, an outstanding betting system sporting a 29-11 ATS record for 73% winning bets and a machine learning projection that is 27-4 ATS for 87% winning bets.

The Cowboys are the only remaining NFL team not to cover the spread in any of their first seven games of the 2020 season. So, teams that have lost seven consecutive against-the-spread (ATS) bets have earned a 21-16-3 ATS record good for 57% winning bets since 1990. The average score of these games has seen the ATS loser fail to score more than 20 points averaging 19.8 points-per-game while the foe has averaged 23.2 PPG.

Teams that have lost 7 or more games to the spread, have produced different results depending on the location of the game. In home games, these streaking money-burners are 11-5-2 ATS for 69% winning bets, BUT not so good in road ventures earning a 10-11 ATS mark for 48 winning bets. Dallas is at Philadelphia this week and installed as a 7-point underdog.

If these losing teams are dogs of 6.5 or fewer points, they have earned a sparkling 11-5-1 ATS record good for 69% winning bets. However, these dogs are just 4-4 ATS when on the road.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview November 1

The Cowboys implosion is massive and cannot be turned around anytime soon. Many other professional bettors and I thought it was a high probability that the Cowboys would squeak by with a win over the Washington Football Team this past week. Instead, they shocked everyone, including the professionals that did bet against them with a ‘no-show’ 25-3 loss. I do wish I could be that fly on the wall of the Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett’s office.

The San Francisco 49ers are last with a 4-3 SU record in the NFC West Division while the Philadelphia Eagles lead the NFC East Division with a 2-4-1 SU record and the tie was at home to the 1-5-1 SU Cincinnati Bengals. Looking at the NFC East, the Eagles could win this division with a horrific 6-10 SU record.

The Cowboys rank 13th in scoring offense with 176 points and have scored just 13 points over their last two games and since the season-ending injury to their All-Pro quarterback Zak Prescott. In Week 4 the Cowboys defense was shredded for 307 yards on 40 carries in a 49-38 loss to the Cleveland Browns and have allowed 469 rushing yards in their last two games. Through seven games, the Cowboys defense has allowed season highs in rushing yards to opponents. That, my folks, has nothing to do with the offense.

The Eagles rank 10th in the NFL, gaining 830 rushing yards, and they will attack the Cowboys defensive front with as many as 40 rushing attempts. The ground game will then open up play-action pass plays for quarterback Carson Wentz to execute the correct pass play.

This game has blowout written all over it. I am on the Eagles this Sunday as a home favorite up to and including -7.5 points.
