Game Preview

The Bruins were in action last night, picking up a 3-1 road victory over the New York Islanders. The
victory was their second in a row, as the team won on the road at the Washington Capitals on Sunday
by a score of 1-0. For the year, Boston is 29-17-7 and currently in 5th place in the Eastern
Conference with 65 points.

The Rangers remain out of the playoff mix in 12th place in the east with a record of 22-22-8 and 52
points. The team has dropped its last two in a row. Last time out on Monday, they squared off with
the Los Angeles Kings at home and fell by a score of 4-3.

Boston Bruins

Boston’s two-game winning streak comes on the tail end of the team dropping three in a row. Over
their last 10 contests, the Bruins are 4-3-3 (3-6-1 O?U). The club is average on the road with a mark
of 11-10-4 thus far.

Jaroslav Halak gets the nod in goal this evening. He’s 13-9-3 on the year with a 2.49 GAA and .918
save percentage. Halak is just 1-4 over his last five while giving up 16 goals. David Pastrnak is the
team’s leading goal scorer with 30, while Brad Marchand tops the team with 40 assists.

New York Rangers

The Rangers had a challenging start to the season, but the team has been playing a bit better of late.
For their last 10, the club is 5-4-1 (6-4 O/U). They have been solid at home with a record of 13-8-4 to
date.

It’ll be Alexander Georgiev between the pipes. He’s 6-9-0 for the season with a 3.28 GAA and .897
save percentage. For his last five, Georgiev is 1-4 with 12 goals allowed. Chris Kreider is the top
scorer with 24 goals, while Mika Zibanejad leads the way with 31 assists.

Bruins vs. Rangers Prediction

This is the second meeting of the season for these two teams. Last month, the Rangers skated away
with a 3-2 road victory. The Rangers have had firm control of the recent series, going 8-2 over the
last 10 meetings. They have been underdogs for the last three, going 2-1.
The Rangers are slight underdogs again tonight. They have an extra night of rest in their back
pockets and have been good at home this season. We like the hosts to walk away with the win when
all is said and done.
