Game Preview

The Flames have hit a rough patch of ice and dropped three of their last four. Two of the losses over
that span have come on the road. For the season, Calgary is 34-15-6 with 74 points. They’re currently
in 2nd place in the Western Conference, one point behind the San Jose Sharks.

The Lightning have won their last two, which came on the heels of a two-game losing streak. The
team is 1-2 over its last three home games. Tampa Bay is 41-11-4 on the year with 86 points. They’re
in 1st place in the Eastern Conference, 14 points ahead of the second-place New York Islanders.

Calgary Flames

Calgary’s recent struggles came in the wake of a three-game winning streak. The team is 6-2-1 (9-1
O/U) over its last 10 games. The Flames have been solid on the road this season, going 17-10 thus
far. The club is 2-1-1 in recent road games, which includes a shootout loss to the Vancouver Canucks
last time out.

It’s looking like David Rittich will be in net tonight. He’s 20-4-5 this season with a 2.55 GAA and
.915 save percentage. Over his last five, Rittich is 3-2 with 12 goals allowed. Johnny Gaudreau is the
biggest offensive threat with 29 goals and 46 assists to date.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Tampa Bay is also 6-2-1 (3-7 O/U) over the last 10 games. The club has been excellent at home this
season with a mark of 21-5-1. The team has won just one of its last three at home outright, but that
span includes a shootout and an OT loss.

Andrei Vasilevskiy has the probable tag for tonight’s festivities. He’s 22-7-4 on the year with a 2.44
GAA and .926 save percentage. Vasilevskiy is 2-3 over his last five with 11 goals against. Brayden
Point is the team’s leading goal scorer with 32, while Nikita Kucherov is tops with 60 assists.

Flames vs. Lightning Prediction

These two clubs last hooked up back in December, with the Lightning picking up a 5-4 road shootout
victory. Tampa Bay has won two straight meetings and three of the last five. This is a potential
Stanley Cup final preview, and we should be in for an entertaining contest as a result.

The Lightning have been slightly better over the past five games for both teams. We like them to
defend the home ice and to skate away with the win.

Calgary Flames vs. Tampa Bay Lightning Pick: Tampa Bay Lightning -155
