Game Preview

The Lightning are leaving the rest of the NHL in the dust. The team enters tonight’s contest with a
record of 49-11-4 and 102 points. That’s 13 points in front of the Calgary Flames in the race for the
Presidents Trophy, and 19 points in front of the Bruins.

Boston is a solid 37-17-9 on the year with 83 points. They’re just one point ahead of the 3rd place
Toronto Maple Leafs in the east, and four points in front of the New York Islanders and Washington
Capitals. The team has been hot of late, but they just can’t gain any ground on the Lightning.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Tampa Bay was in action on the road last night versus the New York Rangers, picking up a 4-3 win
in OT. The Lightning’s previous two games have gone to shootouts. The team is 10-0-0 (6-3-1 O/U)
over the last 10 and has not gone down to defeat since February 7. The Lightning are 23-6-2 in away
games this season.

Louis Domingue is expected in net this evening. He’s 19-4-0 this season with a 2.86 GAA and .908
save percentage. Domingue has victories in five straight with 13 goals allowed. Brayden Point tops
the team in goals with 36, while Nikita Kucherov leads the way with 74 assists.

Boston Bruins

Boston played host to the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday and skated away with a big 4-1 win. It was a
nice rebound from Saturday’s 2-1 road shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues. The team is 8-0-2 (5-5
O/U) over its last 10 outings. The Bruins are strong at home with a mark of 22-7-3 to date.
Tuukka Rask is the expected starter for the Bruins this evening. He’s 20-8-5 with a 2.40 GAA and
.920 save percentage on the year. Over his last five, Rask has four victories while giving up 15 goals.
Leading goal scorer David Pastrnak has been on the shelf with a thumb injury. Brad Marchand tops
the team in points and assists with 74 and 49.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Boston Bruins Prediction

These two squads last hooked up in Tampa back in December with the hosts skating away with a 3-2
win. The Lightning have won five in a row versus the Bruins, and they hold a 6-4 edge over the last
10 meetings.

It’s tough to bet against a Tampa Bay squad that’s playing lights out. However, we’ll take three
straight OT games as a sign that the hot streak is about to end. We like the hosts tonight.
