Game Preview

The Lightning are riding a ridiculous nine-game unbeaten streak and have not fallen in regulation
time since January 30. The team is comfortably atop the Eastern Conference standings with 100
points, 17 points ahead of the 2nd place Boston Bruins. Tampa Bay has a record of 48-11-4.

The season has not gone along as swimmingly for the Rangers, a team in the lower reaches of the
east with 63 points. The club has a record of 27-26-9 and is currently 11 points back of a playoff
spot. The team made several moves before the trade deadline as they look ahead to next season.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Tampa Bay is 9-0-1 (5-4-1 O/U) over its last 10 contests. The team’s last two games have been at
home with both going to shootout. The Lightning have been very strong in away games this season
with a record of 22-6-2 to date.

Andrei Vasilevskiy is expected to be between the pipes tonight. He’s 28-7-4 for the year with a 2.26
GAA and .930 save percentage. Vasilevskiy is undefeated over his last five with just five goals
allowed. Nikita Kucherov tops the team in points and assists with 101 and 71. Brayden Point is the
team’s leading goal scorer with 36.

New York Rangers

The Rangers have been trading wins and losses for the better part of the month of February. The team
is 5-4-1 (6-4 O/U) over its last 10 outings. On Sunday, the Rangers traveled to the nation’s capital to
face off with the Washington Capitals, falling by a score of 6-5 in OT.

Alexandar Georgiev has been given the nod for tonight’s game. He’s 10-10-0 for the year with a 3.15
GAA and .904 save percentage. Georgiev is 4-1 over his last five while allowing 14 goals. Mika
Zibanejad leads the way in all major statistical categories. He has 26 goals and 36 assists for 62
points.

Lightning vs. Rangers Prediction

These teams last hooked up on February 2 at the Garden. The Lightning skated away with a 3-2 win.
Tampa Bay has won four straight in the series, while the teams are deadlocked at 5-5 over the last 10
meetings.

The Lightning are streaking and show no signs of slowing down. The unbeaten streak will eventually
come to an end, but it’s simply too tough to wager against a squad that’s rolling so well, especially
against one of the also-rans of the conference. We’ll take the visitors to pick up the win.
