Game Preview

The Canucks hit the ice fresh off of a 5-1 road victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.
That was the team’s first time out since January 23, when they dropped a 5-2 home game to the
Carolina Hurricanes For the year, Vancouver is 24-22-6 with 54 points and currently in the 8th spot
in the Western Conference.

The Flyers are 23-23-6 on the season with 52 points. The club is in 11th place in the Eastern
Conference, but the arrow is pointing up as they ride a lengthy winning streak. The team’s last time
out was Saturday, when they picked up a 5-4 home victory over the Edmonton Oilers, marking
Philadelphia’s seventh consecutive victory.

Vancouver Canucks

Vancouver has turned things around nicely since a dreadful eight-game losing streak in November.
The club is 5-3-2 (4-5-1 O/U) over its last 10 games. The Canucks are .500 on the road for the year at
12-12-3.No starter has been confirmed as of yet, but it looks like it may be Jacob Markstrom between
the pipes.

He’s 20-13-5 this year with a 2.79 GAA and a .910 save percentage. Markstrom has picked up wins
in three of his last five, giving up 11 goals along the way. Elias Pettersson has the team lead in goals
with 23, while Bo Horvat is tops on the team with 24 assists.

Philadelphia Flyers

Philadelphia is a stellar 8-2 (5-5 O/U) over the last 10 games. The team had a challenging start to the
year and hit rock bottom with an eight-game losing streak, but the club has been much better since
that point. At home, the Flyers are 12-10-3.

It’ll be Carter Hart in net tonight. He’s 9-5-1 with a 2.58 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Hart has
won his last five starts while allowing 12 goals over that span. Sean Couturier leads the way with 20
goals, while Claude Giroux has chipped in with 40 assists.

Canucks vs. Flyers Prediction

These two teams faced off in December, a 5-1 home victory for the Canucks. The clubs have split
their last 10 meetings at 5-5. While the Canucks have been playing pretty well of late, the Flyers are
streaking and will have a hot goalie in net. We like them to pick up the home win to extend their
impressive winning streak to eight games.

Vancouver Canucks vs. Philadelphia Flyers Pick: Philadelphia Flyers -155
