Vegas Golden Knights at San Jose Sharks Game 5 Info
Winning any playoff game is never easy, especially when you consider that you usually have two teams
that are about as evenly matched as it gets. That said, it can be the deciding game that ends up being
the toughest of all to win. We have seen it countless times before; a team gets themselves ahead in the
series and in a position where they can put it away, only to have the nerves hit in that deciding game,
forcing the series to move on when it could have been over. The Vegas Golden Knight will head into
Game 5 of their series with a shot at closing it out, as they have a 3-1 lead over the San Jose Sharks. The
good news for the Knights is that even if they come up short, they get to head back home for another
crack at closing this one out. The Golden Knights were great when they were in this position last season,
when they went to the Stanley Cup Final, but will that killer instinct still be there? The Sharks are
favored by 1 ½, with the O/U set at 6.

Why bet on the Vegas Golden Knights
Vegas looked as though they might be in trouble in this series after losing Game 1 by a score of 5-2. They
quickly turned that around, though, picking up home ice advantage with a dominating win in the second
game in the series. The Golden Knights certainly made the most of their time on home ice, winning the
next two games by a combined score of 11-3. The Vegas offense has been brilliant over the last 3 games,
which makes the task for the Sharks in Game 4 that much tougher. Vegas are now 7-3 SU in their last 10
games against the Sharks and have gone 4-1 ATS in their last 5 visits to San Jose. The goals have been
coming thick and fast in this series, so perhaps no real surprise that 4 of the last 5 meetings between
these two in San Jose have gone OVER.
Why bet on the San Jose Sharks
The Sharks are in a pretty deep hole, but it’s one that we probably should have seen coming given how
they closed out the regular season. After going head to head with the Calgary Flames all season long in
the chase for the Pacific Division title, the Sharks went in the tank and are now just 4-12 SU in their last
16 games. They have also gone a staggering 2-14 ATS in that 16 game run, which has made them a team
to steer clear of when putting together your winning tickets. Even on home ice, things have not gone
well for the Sharks, as they are just 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games in their own building.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
At this point, it’s tough to imagine any scenario in which San Jose are able to dig themselves out of this
hole. They may get a little lift heading back home, but I think this series ends on Thursday night.
