Game Preview

Vegas has fallen on hard times and dropped its last four games in a row. The last two losses came on
the road, and they face another daunting away task tonight. Entering the game, Vegas is 29-21-4 and
in fifth place in the Western Conference with 62 points.

Tampa Bay is the leader in the clubhouse for the President’s Trophy. The team is 39-11-2 on the
year, good enough for 80 points and the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The club picked up a pair
of wins in the Big Apple over the weekend, and they return to the home ice on three days rest.

Vegas Golden Knights

Outside of the current four-game skid, the Golden Knights have been chugging along this season.
The team has a five- and seven-game winning streak on its season-long resume. Over the last 10,
Vegas is 4-6 (3-5-2 O?U). On the year, the club is 13-15-1 in road contests.

It’s looking like Marc-Andre Fleury will get the nod tonight. He’s 27-15-4 on the year with a 2.48
GAA and .911 save percentage. Fleury has just a single win over his last five outings, giving up 13
goals along the way. Jonathan Marchessault is the team leader in goals with 17, while Alex Tuch is
tops with 24 assists.

Tampa Bay Lightning

The Lightning picked up a 1-0 road victory over the New York Islanders on Friday, and followed
that up with 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. For the last 10,
Tampa Bay is 7-3 (2-8-0 O/U), and the club holds a mark of 20-5-0 at home this season.

Signs point to Andrei Vasilevskiy being in net tonight. He’s 21-7-2 thus far with a 2.46 GAA and
.925 save percentage. For his last five, Vasilevskiy is 2-3 with 13 goals against. Brayden Point tops
the team with 30 goals, while Nikita Kucherov has chipped in 58 assists.

Golden Knights vs. Lightning Prediction

These two squads hooked up in Vegas back in October, with Tampa Bay skating off with a 3-2
victory. All time, Vegas has a 2-1 edge in the series. The Golden Knights are too talented not to turn
things around from their current rough patch.

However, more pain may be coming before that happens. The Lightning have been stellar on the
home ice this season, and we expect that to continue this evening.
