Can the Golden State Warriors keep the pieces in place that won their second straight NBA title on Friday night? Will Durant opt-out of his current two-year deal and renegotiate to remain with the talented #DubNation? Do the latest rumors that Cavaliers all-everything, LeBron James, will become a Los Angeles Laker next season hold water? Odds to Win 2019 NBA Championship (June 9).

This summer the National Basketball Association free agency process will be extremely interesting. There are a thousand-and-one questions about whom will be playing for whom in October. The ramifications of LeBron James’ pending free agency and the loss of the Cavaliers to the Warriors in Game #4 of the Association Finals on Friday night had the most significant impact to the updated Westgate NBA future odds.

Golden State is the Las Vegas Superbook‘s top of the chart choice to win their third straight NBA title at +120. The Warriors are followed by the Houston Rockets and the Philadelphia 76ers which are tied for the second-best odds at +350.

The Cavaliers opened at 30-to-1 on the Superbook’s NBA Futures.  However the franchises future looks much different without LeBron being the club’s player-coach. Consequently the updated odds on Cleveland have fallen from 30-to-1 down to 50-to-1.

The Rockets face the task of resigning the Chris Paul and Clint Capela combination in the coming months. Both are important pieces to Houston being the primary challengers to the Warriors next season.

The Boston Celtics opened with odds of 8-to-1 to win the 2019 Association crown.  But recent money has come in on the Celts and moved their future odds. Boston figures to be a tough out in the Eastern Conference in 2018.  The pair of All Stars, Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward figure to be healthy.  And in combination with the belief that King James won’t be a Cavalier next season has inspired the sharps to back the Celtics.  Boston moved from their opening 8-to-1 to an updated 7-to-1.

The dysfunctional Los Angeles Lakers were 20-to-1 in Westgate‘s opening odds but with the Finals loss and recent water cooler talk that James would land in Los Angeles for the upcoming campaign the Lakers were updated to 12-to-1 odds to earn the 2019 NBA title.
