Premier League leaders Manchester City maintain a comfortable lead on the EPL Table. City secured a 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.  Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring for the hosts before Sergio Aguero doubled their lead from the penalty spot after the break. Only Everton have managed to stop City winning in the Premier League.  The Blues forced a 1-1 draw back in August. Since then, Guardiola’s side have recorded nine successive victories and are eight points clear at the top of the EPL table.

A published article on Sky Sports quoted Napoli star Dries Mertens who insists Manchester City are not invincible. However, Mertens’ Belgium team-mate Thibaut Courtois had previously said they are unstoppable, but the midfielder, who has faced Pep Guardiola’s side twice this season, does not agree.

City beat Napoli 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium before winning 4-2 in Naples but Mertens believes the results do not reflect the performance. “They’re not unstoppable because the game at home we played really good and we had chances to make it 3-2 and we didn’t score them and two seconds later they scored to make it 3-2,” Mertens told SkySports.com.

“In Europe, City have won all four of their group games.  The Citizens have notched 12 goals and conceded just three times. The Euro results have led to the club qualifying for the knockout stages with two games to spare, reported Manchester City News.

As it typical in sports, especially Euro football, success breads profits. According to ESPNfc.com Manchester City announced record revenues for the third straight season. The World Wide Leader in Sports report £473.4 million in revenues to date for City.

ESPN published that “Premier League leaders City have released their annual financial figures, which show they made a profit of £1.088m in 2016-17.

“Profits are down from £20.5m the previous year but the club said that was because of a change to the reporting period. ESPN FC also reported that Manchester City have the most valuable squad in world football. City is followed by Tottenham Hotspur, a new study commissioned by CIES Football Observatory has said. Chelsea and Barcelona make up a field of four European clubs with squads valued at more than €1 billion (£883m). City have four players considered to be worth more than €100m, with Kevin De Bruyne the most valuable at €145m,” wrote ESPN FC.
