Odds to Win 2017 Masters: Jimmy Walker wins 1st Major

Aug 1, 2016 - 0 comments

The 2016 PGA Championship is in the books and for the fourth time this golf season a first-time winner secured a Major title. Jimmy Walker won his first at Baltusrol, beating reigning champion Jason Day by one shot, earning the championship.

Walker didn’t swing a golf ball on the course late Saturday after bad weather forced play to be postponed. the latest Major champ returned Sunday morning to shoot 68 and take a one-shot lead over defending champion Jason Day into the final round.

Unlikely winner of the 2016 Masters, England’s Danny Willett, was the benefactor of a Major (pun intended) collapse by defending champion Jordan Spieth to win the 80th Masters at Augusta National in this season’s first of the “Big Four”.

The SuperBook of Las Vegas, WestGate, has issued their 2017 Odds to win the 2017 Masters and runner-up to this past weekend’s PGA Championship, Jason Day (7-to-1) is their “Most Likely to Succeed” choice.
