The 2018 College Football champions are the early favorites to repeat in 2019. On the heals of Alabama’s come-from-behind, overtime win over Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship, early money in Las Vegas shows that the Crimson Tide are receiving the majority of the early investments, according to the Vegas SuperBook, Westgate. Odds to Win 2019 College Football Championship (Jan 23).

Win or lose this past January the Crimson Tide figured to top most Vegas and Offshore college football championship futures charts. At Westgate Superbook, Alabama opening odds to win the 2019 college football playoffs at 5-to-2. The latest update has the Tide at 8-to-5. This 2018 runners-up, Georgia, comes in at an updated 7-to-1 behind Clemson who is currently at 6-to-1.

Alabama finished the CFP championship game with 10 unanswered points in regulation play, this in the last five minutes of the game.  Backup quarterback Tua Tagoviola connected with DeVontga Smith with a 41-yard touchdown pass to win in overtime. Alabama had a chance to win in regulation, but place kicker Andy Pappanastos missed a field goal as time expired.

Alabama ended up winning the Championship Game 26-23.

Next season’s national title game will be held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., on Jan. 9. The semifinals will be held in the Fiesta and Chick-fil-A bowls on Dec. 31
