Minnesota United have clearly been one of the surprise packages this season. They have won both matches, both on the road, and will now get ready for another away match, this time in LA against the Galaxy. The LA Galaxy won their first match of the season but are coming off a bad loss against FC Dallas.

Date/Time: 3-16-2019, 22:30 EST

Spread: LA Galaxy -0.5

Total: 3 Goals

The LA Galaxy (1-0-1) are coming into this match after a really frustrating 0-2 loss on the road against FC Dallas. The first half was a really dull affair with just one shot on target by both sides. The Galaxy had more scoring chances but didn’t get a single shot on target. FC Dallas were better in the second half and took the lead the 53rd minute when Ziegler converted a penalty kick. They went on to score another goal at the 61st minute to beat the Galaxy by an easy 0-2. The Galaxy are now 8th in the Western Conference with three points.

On the other hand, Minnesota United (2-0-0) look really great this season and will probably go a long way. In their last match they destroyed the San Jose Earthquakes by a strong 3-0 on the road. The truth is that it was a slightly balanced match between the two sides. Minnesota United were better in the first half but they only took the lead at the start of the second. They doubled that just three minutes later, with San Jose scoring an own goal at the 75th minute for the final 2-0. Minnesota United also came back from one goal behind to beat Vancouver by 3-2 in the opener. They are now sitting at the 2nd spot of the Conference on a triple tie with Seattle and LAFC.

The LA Galaxy have been great in this match-up over the years (3-0-1). Last season the two teams split the points in a 2-2 draw in this venue. The Galaxy went on to beat Minnesota United by 3-1 on the road.

Both teams have a ton of talent up front and I would expect to see a lot of goals here. The LA Galaxy will look to make home advantage count but Minnesota United have been excellent on both away matches this season. I will take the Over 3 Goals here.
