Current Stanley Cup Odds from Las Vegas
There’s progress! The NHL Player’s Association has approved a 24-team playoff format to put a bow on the 2019-20 season…But we still don’t know when or where. It appears that Las Vegas will be one of the hub cities, but it is unclear if another host will be needed. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has just released their updated 2020 Stanley Cup odds, and there are three co-favorites atop the odds board at 6-to-1: Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, and Las Vegas Golden Knights. Teams 5 through 12 in each conference will participate in a play-in round, while the top-four teams in each league will have a separate contest to determine their seeding in the first round. Boston is the +175 favorite to be the top seed in the East, while St. Louis is the +225 favorite to be the No. 1 seed in the West.

Prior to the stoppage, the Philadelphia Flyers were the league’s hottest team. The Flyers won nine of their last ten games heading into the break and saw their Stanley Cup odds drop from 20-to-1 to 12-to-1. That run propelled Philadelphia into a top-4 seed in the Eastern Conference, allowing them to bypass the opening playoff round.
