Odds to Win 2020 Super Bowl

The cliche that “picking a straight up winner is easy” doesn’t hold water. While a National League Football team that is a double-digit favorite has obvious talent edges over the the club getting the points (handicap) the game still has to be played. The NFL is a different animal than that of college football. Odds to Win 2020 Super Bowl: Rams 6-1.

Typical pointspreads in the National Football league are in the neighborhood of three points, here or there, which is a result of the parity in the league. Picking a winner in these assumed closely contested situation is nothing short of a coin flip.

In the Las Vegas SuperBook‘s NFL Future chart, Odds to Win Super Bowl LIV, going a perfect 16-0 against the spread doesn’t get you a spot in the playoffs. Theoretically a team can go 16-0 against the spread and 0-16 straight up.

The 2017-18 NFL campaign team records, both straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) below offers evidence of such.
