As we have seen since soccer returned after the lockdown, teams are being put through the wringer in terms of the packed schedule. This is especially true for the teams that are still alive in the FA Cup, of which there are now 4. It was a rather slim EPL schedule this weekend, with the FA Cup taking center stage for a few days. For the teams that are still alive, squad rotation and keeping players as fresh as possible will be the goal for coaches. While the title race is now over, with Liverpool clinching things a few days back, the race is still on for European places, as well as for Premier League survival. The lone game on Monday will feature a pair of teams sitting close to the middle of the table with an outside shot at a Europa League spot. It would take a very special final few weeks for either of these teams to nab that spot, but a win here might just kick start a run. The bookies see this as a close one and have it on the board as a PK play. The goal total has been set at 2.

Why bet on Crystal Palace
We talked at the top of this piece about the possibility of one of these two teams sneaking their way into the Europa League conversation. Palace are in 10th right now, sitting 10 points back of that final spot. That is probably too much ground to make up, plus they have a highly inferior goal difference to the teams ahead of them. That was certainly not helped by their most recent outing, a 4-0 loss to champions Liverpool. Instead, Palace are likely to finish right around where they are now, although if their past record against Burnley is anything to go by, they might move up a little here. Palace have won 4 in a row against Burnley, including a 2-0 road win earlier this season. At home, Crystal Palace are 6-4-5, scoring 12 and surrendering 13.
Why bet on Burnley
With a 12-6-13 record, Burnley are sitting on the same 42 points as Crystal Place, but they are one place below them due to an inferior goal difference. They were able to bounce back from a 5-0 thumping at the hands of Manchester City to nab a 1-0 win on the road against Watford in their last start. Like their opponents on Monday, Burnley are on a bit of an island in the middle of the table, safe from relegation, but probably too far back to make any kind of serious run at the European spots. They are going to need to try and find a way to solve a Palace team that they have been unable to beat since 2017. In the 4 losses they have suffered since then, they have been outscored 8-1. On the road this season, Burnley are 4-4-7, scoring 14 and surrendering 26.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
I look at this one and immediately imagine a draw, which might not be a bad bet, but then you look at the dominance that Palace have had over this team in recent seasons and swing the other way.
