2020 World Series Odds: Playoff Field is Set

Major League Baseball’s 16-team playoff field is set, and the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has just posted their updated 2020 World Series odds. The Los Angeles Dodgers remain the +350 favorites, followed by the San Diego Padres (+800), Tampa Bay Rays (+1000) and Minnesota Twins (+1000).

In this year’s new 16-team playoff format, the higher-seeded team will host a best-of-three series in the Wild Card Round. The winners of those Wild Card rounds will move to neutral sites for a best-of-five Division Series, followed by best-of-seven Championship series. The NLCS will be held at the Texas Rangers’ new stadium in Arlington, with the ALCS taking place from Petco Park in San Diego. There will be no days off between any games within a series. The American League’s Wild Card series is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Sept. 29, followed by the National League on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Game 1 of the World Series is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from Globe Life Field in Arlington.
