The Champions League returns to action this week with the second leg matches on Tuesday and Wednesday. The first four teams have already qualified in the next round and are awaiting the other four. We also had a massive hit with the correct score on the FC Porto vs AS Roma match that gave us a nice payout. And there is also a chance that we can get an even bigger one. Let’s take a look at this week’s matches:

Juventus vs Atletico Madrid:

Atletico Madrid did a great job in the first leg when they recorded a slim 0-2 win at home against Juventus. It was a slightly balanced match between the two sides, while both goals were scored in the last 20 minutes. Juventus will now look to overturn that deficit at home, where they have been really solid over the years. This is most likely going to be a very physical and close match with few goals.

Prediction: Under 2.25 Goals (-102) / Juventus to win by 0-2 (+564)

Manchester City vs Schalke:

Manchester City almost suffered a massive upset in their away match against Schalke in the first leg. They did take the lead but they were trailing by 1-2 at the end of the first half. They even saw a red card at the 68th minute that could have made this really hard for them. But not only did they pull even at the 85th minute, but they also scored the winning goal at the 90th minute for the final 3-2 win. Manchester City are the clear favorites here and I doubt that we will see an upset. Schalke can maybe score a goal to spice things up a bit but it should be a home win.

Prediction: Over 3.5 Goals (-113) / Man City to win by 1-4 (+1134) / Man City to win by 1-5 (+1770)

Barcelona vs Lyon:

This was clearly one of the biggest surprises in the round of 16, along with the one in Liverpool. Lyon put out a strong defense against Barcelona’s pressure and avoided defeat. But a goal-less draw means that they will now have to either win or have a goal draw in order to qualify. Or play for another goal-less draw and send this to extra time and, possibly, penalties. I really doubt that we will see another goal-less draw here. Lyon actually beat Manchester City on the road by 2-1 in the group stage. And they had a 3-3 draw against Hoffenheim and a 1-1 draw in Donetsk. Barcelona might win this one but I expect Lyon to score.

Prediction: Both Teams to Score (-114) / Barcelona to win by 1-2 (+769) / To win by 1-3 (+845)

Bayern Munich vs Liverpool:

This was the other huge surprise, with two traditionally attacking teams playing for a goal-less draw. Liverpool were much better in the first half but were unable to threaten their opponents. Bayern Munich managed to balance the match in the second half. But they were clearly there to take a good result and they didn’t risk much. Liverpool haven’t lost in their last four matches in Germany (2-0-2) and have a solid 3-5-9 record overall. This can easily blow up to a high-scoring match but I will take my chances with the Under 2.75 Goals here.

Prediction: Under 2.75 Goals (-111) / Draw 1-1 (+526)
