Two teams sitting on opposite sides of the Eastern Conference table are clashing today, when the second Atlanta Dream (10-9), who want to extend their current winning streak, are hosting the team with the worse record in the WNBA, the Indiana Fever (2-18), who want to end a losing streak of their own and get their third victory this season.

Date/Time: 07-13-2017 19:00 EDT

Spread: Atlanta Dream -8.5

Total: +154

Atlanta Dream have a 10-9 record (10-9 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the second place of the East. They have three two of their last four matches and in their last game they won on the road against the Washington Mystics with a 106-89 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Tiffany Hayes with 17.7 ppg, adding 3.3 boards per game. She is followed by Angel McCoughtry with 17.3 ppg and 6.1 boards per game, while Renee Montgomery adds 10.3 ppg and a team high 3.3 dimes per game.

Indiana Fever have a 2-18 record (8-12 against the spread) so far this season and are last in the East and the whole league. They have lost eight of their last nine matches and in their last game they lost at home against the Minnesota Lynx with a 65-87 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Kelsey Mitchell with 14.2 ppg, while Candice Dupree follows with 12.7 ppg and 6.4 rebounds per game. Cappie Pondexter adds 11 ppg.

Atlanta leads Indiana 2-1 wins so far this season and they have won the only home game with a 72-67 score. Atlanta are 5-3 at home this season, while Indiana are 1-8 on the road. Those two teams have the worse offenses in the league, with Dream being second-worse with 77.3 ppg and Fever last with 75.4 and the worse field goal percentages, shooting with 40.8% and 40.5%. Dream are also better defensively, allowing 79.8 ppg to Fever’s third-worse of 83.7. Dream have the worse 3-point percentage in the league, shooting with 30% to Fever’s third-worse of 31.8%. Dream are better in rebounding (35.3 to 32.6) and in assists made (17.3 to 15.2), while Fever are better in turnovers committed (13.3 to 14.3). Indiana are by far the weakest squad in the league with season and Vegas odds give Atlanta a -8.5 spread and expect them to beat those odds for the home victory.
