Two teams sitting on opposite sides of the Eastern Conference table are clashing today, when the second-best Atlanta Dream (5-4), who are looking to bounce back after their latest defeat, are hosting the worse team of the conference and of the whole WNBA and only winless team so far Indiana Fever (0-9).  WNBA Indiana Fever vs Atlanta Dream Spread and Prediction.

Date/Time: 06-14-2017 11:30 EDT

Spread: Atlanta Dream -8.5

Total: +155

Atlanta Dream have a 5-4 record so far this season.  The Dream are currently tied with the Washington Mystics in the second place of the East. In their last game they saw a three-game winning streak getting snapped by losing on the road against the Los Angeles Sparks with a 64-72 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Tiffany Hayes with 18.6 ppg. Angel McCoughtry adds 15.8 ppg and 6.4 boards per game. Renee Montgomery adds 9.1 ppg and a team high 2.88 dimes per game.

Indiana Fever have a 0-9 record so far this season. Consequently they are in last place of the East. And furthermore have the worst record overall in the WNBA thus far.  In their last game they lost at home against the Las Vegas Aces with a 92-101 score in overtime, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Kelsey Mitchell with 19.1 ppg. While Candice Dupree follows with 14.3 ppg and 6.9 boards per game. Tiffany Mitchell adds 10.6 ppg and Natalie Achonwa 10 ppg and a team high 7.7 boards per game.

Last season Atlanta led Indiana 2-1 wins, winning both home games with 68-89 and 74-79. Atlanta are 2-2 at home so far this season, while Indiana are 0-3 on the road. Team Atlanta have the worse offense in the league, scoring 75.1 ppg to Indiana’s third-worse of 77.9, while Indiana are tied for the second-worse defense, allowing 87.2 ppg to Atlanta’s second-best of 76.7. Atlanta have the worse percentages in the league both in field goals, shooting with 39.2% to Indiana’s 41.1% and in 3-pointers, shooting with 28.8% to Indiana’s 30.2%.

The Dream are better in rebounding (36.1 to 33.1), while both teams are almost equal both in assists made (16.3 to 16) and in turnovers committed (13.2 to 13.4). Atlanta are the absolute favorite against the weakest team in the league so far and Vegas odds give them a -8.5 spread and expect them to beat the odds for an easy home victory.
