Two teams with identical records sitting on the third and fourth to last places of the league are clashing tonight, when the Chicago Sky (7-12), who want to turn their latest victory into a streak, are hosting the Las Vegas Aces (8-12), who have lost only once in their last four games.

Date/Time: 07-10-2017 20:30 EDT

Spread: Chicago Sky -4.5

Total: +173.5

Chicago Sky have a 7-12 record (9-10 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the third to last place of the Eastern Conference. In their last game they snapped a three-game losing streak by winning at home against the Minnesota Lynx with a 77-63 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Allie Quigley with 16.7 ppg, followed by Diamond DeShields with 13.5 ppg and 5.1 boards per game. Courtney Vandersloot adds 10.7 ppg and a team high 7.6 dimes per game.

Las Vegas Aces have an 8-12 record (10-10 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the last place of the Western Conference. They have won three of their last four matches and in their last game they won at home against the Connecticut Sun with a 94-90 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by A’ja Wilson with 21 ppg, adding a team high 8.7 boards per game. She is followed by Kayla McBride with 19 ppg and 3.7 boards per game, while Tamera Young adds 9.9 ppg and 4.8 boards per game.

In their two previous meetings earlier this season, each team has won at home (Las Vegas by 4 and Chicago by 5 points). Chicago are 5-5 at home this season, while Las Vegas are 3-7 on the road. Both teams are almost equal offensively, scoring 82 and 81.3 ppg each. They are also very close both in field goal percentage (43.5% to 43.4%) and in assists made (20 to 19.9), while Chicago are the worse defensive squad, allowing 87.7 ppg to Las Vegas’ second-worse of 85.4. Chicago have a better 3-point percentage (37.3% to 35.8%), while Las Vegas commit fewer turnovers per game (13.8 to 15.5). Home court has been a major factor in this series and Vegas odds give Chicago a -4.5 spread and expect them to beat the odds for another home victory.
