Two teams sitting on the bottom three places of their respective conferences are clashing today, when the worse team of the league, the Indiana Fever (2-17), who have won only once in their last eight games, are hosting the fourth in the West and defending champions Minnesota Lynx (11-8), who are struggling again having won only once in their last three.

Date/Time: 07-11-2017 11:30 EDT

Spread: Indiana Fever +10

Total: +158

Indiana Fever have a 2-17 record (8-11 against the spread) so far this season and are last in the East and the whole WNBA. They have lost seven of their last eight matches and in their last game they lost on the road against the Dallas Wings with a 63-90 score, not beating the odds. Indiana are led in scoring by Kelsey Mitchell with 14.4 ppg, while Candice Dupree follows with 13 ppg and 6.5 rebounds per game. Cappie Pondexter adds 12 ppg.

Minnesota Lynx have an 11-8 record (7-12 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the third to last place of the Western Conference. They have lost two of their last three matches and in their last game they lost on the road against the Chicago Sky with a 63-77 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Maya Moore with 18.9 ppg, adding 5.2 boards per game. She is followed by Sylvia Fowles with 17.3 ppg and a team high 11.9 boards per game, while Seimone Augustus adds 10.4 ppg.

In their previous meeting earlier this season, Indiana won on the road with a 59-71 score. Indiana are 1-9 at home this season, while Minnesota are 5-5 on the road. Minnesota are better both offensively, scoring 79.1 ppg to Indiana’s second-worse of 76 and defensively, allowing a second-best of 77.3 ppg to Indiana’s 83.5. Lynx also have better percentages both in field goals, shooting with 44.4% to Fever’s 40.8% and in 3-pointers, shooting with 36.2% to Fever’s 31.7 %. They are also better in rebounding, grabbing 36.3 to Fever’s 33 and in assists made, with 19.4 to Fever’s league-low of 15.2, while Fever are only better in turnovers committed (13.4 to 15.1). Lynx have already lost once at home by the Fever and Vegas odds give them a -10 spread for today but don’t expect them to beat the odds as Fever will once again force a closer game than that.
