2021 World Series Odds from Las Vegas
It just wouldn’t be sports in 2020 without a little controversy, huh? The Los Angeles Dodgers captured the World Series amidst some questionable managing decisions and a COVID-19 scare. Alas, it’s time to look ahead. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has already released their 2021 World Series odds and the Dodgers have opened as the 5-to-1 favorite, followed by the New York Yankees (+600) and a trio of teams at 12-to-1: Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres and Chicago White Sox.
As bettors analyze the 2021 World Series odds, it’s important to follow MLB’s plans for the postseason. The 2020 playoffs featured an expanded field of 16 teams with virtually no benefits for the best regular season teams. We have no idea how the playoff format will look in 2021 (yet). Will they stay with the expanded playoff format? Will they find a way to give the top teams a bye?
